COVID19 Information Update

Adult Class Modifications

For the foreseeable future, we are offering options for In-Person classes, Virtual classes, and Rotating Virtual & In-Person classes. This allows us to limit the number of people inside our office at one time, and also allows folks to choose the format that is most comfortable for them. Due to smaller class sizes, classes are filling up quickly!
  • Virtual classes will be smaller in order to keep learning individualized and improve the experience. Classes will be live with the instructor using either Jitsi or Zoom. You will need a laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone to participate.
  • Any student that requires a textbook for the session will be able to purchase the book online and pick up curbside prior to the first day of class, if your group meets virtually. We will contact you with more details.
  • For in-person classes, all students should take their temperature before leaving home. If you have a fever, chills, aches, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, headache, or loss of taste or smell please DO NOT come to class!
  • Students will be spread out in the classrooms, and class size is limited (depending on the size of the room). Class start times are staggered, so that we don’t have too many people coming and going at the same time.
  • Classes that rotate virtual and in-person will receive the schedule prior to the start of the session. They will be alternating weeks with other classes to help reduce our concentration of students in the office. Some groups may even get to meet outside during the session, weather-permitting!
  • Anyone entering the office will be required to wear a mask to the office, and we will provide face shields to all students. You are welcome to wear whichever is more comfortable.
  • If health officials mandate that we shut down or reduce in-person meetings at any point during the session, all classes will move to virtual format. Please be ready with a laptop or tablet that has a camera and microphone just in case.
We thank you for your patience and patronage during these difficult times. We’re doing everything we can to bring you the best possible learning experience so that for a couple hours each week we can all forget about coronavirus and immerse ourselves in the joy of learning Spanish. Looking forward to having you in class!

Children’s Program Modifications

At this time our children's programs are on hold.

For classes held at area schools, we are awaiting direction from the local schools as to how to proceed with our enrichment classes. We will update our website as soon as we have more information. Be ready for more virtual offerings!

For Saturday morning classes at our location, we plan to hold a fall session beginning mid-September. We are still evaluating the feasibility of in-person vs. virtual classes. We will update our website as soon as we have a plan in place that is safe and effective.

Private Class Modifications

Private classes may meet in-person or virtually at this time depending on the comfort level of each student. If you’ve purchased a package of private classes and just want to wait a bit before meeting, that’s ok too.
  • Virtual classes will be live with the instructor using either Jitsi or Zoom. You will need a laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone.
  • For in-person classes, all students should take their temperature before leaving home. If you have a fever, chills, aches, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, headache, or loss of taste or smell please DO NOT come to the office!
  • The student(s) and teacher will be 6 ft apart in the classroom.
  • Anyone entering the office will be required to wear a mask to the office, and we will provide face shields to all students. You are welcome to wear whichever is more comfortable.
  • f health officials mandate that we shut down at any point in time, classes may resume virtually, or you may hold off on classes until a later date.
